Ultra PC Care is a computer maintenance and optimization suite that aims to keep your PC as fast and effective as possible.
PC optimization apps are ten a penny. Lots of them, as we've discovered to our disappointment, aren't very good, but Ultra PC Care seems to buck this trend. Before you go any further, you need to be aware that although Ultra PC Care is full of options, the trial version is very, very limited, only letting you scan and not letting you fix problems.
Putting this to one side, let's take a look at what Ultra PC Care does offer. The app scans on start up which, although effective, is a little frustrating, as you can't pause the process to get an immediate look at the program. The interface is attractive and clear, but strangely old-fashioned, with the status of the system in the main panel, and your options to the left.
These options are many and varied, but include a driver updater, backup manager, start up utility and registry optimizer, as well as many more. Clicking any of these options will open a second Ultra PC Care window, and it's from here that you can manage the feature and tweak individual settings for the tool. Ultra PC Care also has a Smart PC Care option, which automatically performs a handful of operations designed to keep your machine running smoothly. It carries out about 5 actions that can be individually enabled or disabled, and also allows scheduling, so you can set it to run automatically.
Opinions on system optimizers are mixed, and Ultra PC Care is no exception. The truth is that all of the app's functions can be performed manually with free tools, but there's no denying that this takes time and a certain effort.
If you want all your PC tweaking options in one place, and you don't mind paying for the privilege, you could do a lot worse than Ultra PC Care.
